#hashtagchat

For those who didn't know, I dabble a bit with web and graphic design on the side. I recently put together a quick site and logo (very minimalistic and only one page) for a small application we put out a few nights ago called Hashtag Chat. In a nutshell, if you are on Twitter (which you should be), you can use Hashtag Chat to chat with whomever on any topic. Just type in the hashtag as a subdomain (ie monkeys.hashtagchat.com) to tweet with other tweeps on stuff like nutella to primates to architecture. The magical part is that Hashtag Chat is like a live chat--new tweets show up automatically without refreshing the page, so in that sense it's kind of reminiscent of an IM window. Neat?

Anyway, this entry may have deviated a bit from the usual subject matter of this blog, but I've always seen design (even web and graphic design), style and fashion intimately connected and driven by aesthetics. Take for example, Processing, which will be my next personal learning project. It's a programming language that combines art and code like . . . this. No worries though, more daily outfits to come pronto.
