you knew it was going to happen

I've been visiting the Opening Ceremony online store quite a lot lately just to look at the Alexander Wang cat eye sunglasses. Each time I stop by I drool and then kick myself back to my senses because could I really justify spending $325 on a pair of shades? Food, yes. Textbooks, yes. But sunglasses? Could I throw down that many Franklins on a fashion item, though stunning and feels so-very-me, that makes such a strong statement that it will most probably go down in history as an ephemeral trend of the year 2010? Of course, then Forever 21 comes along and made this arbitration more complicated selling a pair for $5.80. Well fashion gods, forgive me. I'm going to have to give the F21s a spin but know they will never fill my A. Wang void.

These are quite something! I'm always umming and ahhing over Karen Walker shades. Luckily there are cheaper versions popping up here and there :) I've only ever lost one pair of shades but knowing my luck, if I ever do fork out the $$$, they'll be the ones to go.

I'll always love Wang, but those forever 21 sunglasses seem like the better deal. They are more simplistic and wont date as quickly because of that. Go forever 21! ^.^

These are totally amazing and I know I just cant justify buying them.. Ugh! They are sooo cool!
Also I lose and break sunglasses like they were nothing...so I would go with the F21 .. as well!

Oh dear, I've been eye-ing those A. Wang glasses too, and now that you've mentioned similar glasses for a mere $5.80, how could I say no?

Haha those are awesome. I admit I've purchased quite a few knock offs from f21 as well, just to avoid the bigger price tag of the original :[

Such a strong look! Wondeful! I actually feel the same way about Karen Walker sunglasses... I know I'll probably lose them the week of purchase too. Murphy's Law.
You have flawless personal style - Would you be interested in exchanging links?

And unfortunately, you know the F21 pair will fall apart after wearing twice. I hate to sound like such a snob, but it's true! You get exactly what you pay for! Opening Ceremony does that sort of mind game to me lately as well. I finally caved and bought their clog boots...even though that trend is already about to pass as soon as the Jeffrey Campbell ones are played out :(
