Cut-offs are just too easy to wear (ahem, wear every single day of the week). I think they look best when worn with slightly more modest choices (ie a chunky sweater, a collared shirt, nothing too tight or revealing), because there is definitely something haphazard, gritty, and potentially raunchy about a pair of denim cut-offs. I really like how they work with a pair of opaque tights underneath, flats, and something heavier on the top. It's almost my uniform when the days get hectic.

These were taken right before heading off to SXSW. Now that I'm back to the grind, I'm getting everything back on track--posts cued up, heaploads of work neatly lined up, and back to regular dining habits. SXSW, you've been fun, but I'm getting too old for you. You were like a vortex that sucked me up all unprepared and spit me out into a land of no sleep, BBQ-drenched fingers, and dance parties fueled by Red Bull and . . . other things. I'll have a SXSW post up soon, but until then, work beckons.

I'm getting my gif on peeps, courtesy of the boy. After he finished and proudly showed me his creation, I was a little horrified to find that there is definitely some Justin Bieber hair flip action going on here. DO I REALLY DO THAT?

So, I'm finally wearing this Chloe dress I got ages ago. I really have no idea how I managed to forget it existed. Paired with this ubiquitous Zara leopard coat (seen on every blogger and their mom), it's really a super easy and super pretty look.

That is all for today. Night! *hairflip*

I'd like to wear this shirt everyday. It has a kickass bee print, and from afar, they almost look real. Someone needs to make an embroidered bee print. It'd add an awesome 3D punch. Anyway, Foy said I looked like Colonel Sanders in this get-up. I was mostly amused, though I know I'm starting to tread in sartorial danger zone when I'm getting compared to a fast food chain mascot born in the 1800s who pioneered fried chicken buckets. I'll make an earnest effort to not emulate Ronald McDonald tomorrow.

Crud, I'm totally screwing up SEO shiz with this post. Miu Miu! NYC streestyle! FASHION.

EDIT: Foy just corrected me. He actually said "Colonel Sanders meets beekeeper." Well, that's much better.

Hrm, my Acne Pistol boots look positively battered in these photos. Whoops. Time to cycle my shoes more often. It always cracks me up a little when I'm ready to purchase a pair of shoes, the shoe salesperson will say something like, "You obviously know that you should be cycling through several pairs to keep them in good shape." Yes yes, of course, let me just hide by guiltyface now.
